Medical Chart Audit

UASI's Medical Audit Program performs concurrent and retrospective audits for a charge based payor population. These programs can be administered at the client site or remotely from UASI's corporate office. The backbone of UASI's Medical Audit Program is its experienced team of nationally accredited Certified Medical Audit Specialists (CMAS). All UASI medical audit staff are credentialed (RN) with an average of five years current industry experience.

The goals of UASI Medical Audit include:

  • Total Quality Management and compliance in the hospital's financial foundation, the billing process.
  • Accurate billing cost process that improves case flow and eliminates oversight.
  • Improved third-party relationships.
  • Enhanced public image for client hospitals through submitting accurate, initial claims that have been thoroughly audited for integrity by identifying charging errors.
  • Reduced number of third party “defensive” audits.
  • Identification and immediate correction of areas within the Hospital that are sources of improper charging and documentation.

UASI Medical Audit Programs ensure that our client hospitals are meeting the intent of the National Audit Guidelines.
